Payday Games

Gaming Monday HeaderSo by now most of you have had this month’s pay and are wondering what to buy. I’m in exactly the same boat this month as we’ve had some great games out this week.
Now, I haven’t had a chance to buy all these yet so I hope you’ll enjoy your choice for me and tell me all about it.

My first pick is Saints Row 4. If you’re a fan of the series, you’re probably already half way through the game by now but for everyone else here’s some selling points for you.
It’s a ridiculous series, but this isn’t a bad thing. The weapons, the way you customise your character is just insane. Want your guy to look like a big gold Buddha? Go for it. Saint’s row 3 had the infamous giant dildo and this time round there’s the Dubstep gun that shoots wubs. Yeah.
It’s a lot of fun and probably the best game version of the matrix ever.

Next up we have Rayman legends which has a few wii u exclusives on that platform such as the Mario and Luigi costumes. The demo was really fun and ideal for platform fans. It plays really well on the wii u version and works great with the gamepad.

Disney Infinity is also worth an investment this early on. Toybox mode is where a lot of you will get excited, the level design and mixing of characters has great promise. The extra character figures are a tad pricey, a single figure is about £15 in Game at the moment and while it’s clearly aimed at children with disposable income, there’s no reason you won’t enjoy it.
It’s still fresh and there aren’t many figures yet but if you think of all the characters Disney own, there could be some Marvel and Star Wars ones on the horizon.

If you’re after a few bargains, Tesco have reduced loads of games down to £10 in their electronics section. I picked up Kirby’s Epic Yarn which is adorable and a really good 2P game on the wii.

Short and sweet this week! Let me know if you’ve played any of these and what you thought, I’ll see you next week.
